About Me

Back in November, I left my retail job of ten years after the (emotional) working conditions became unbearable. Two days, and a lot of thought and prayer, later I decided to return to school and get a new degree in the medical field. People thought I was crazy for wanting to do something new at "my time of life." Geez, I'm in my thirties not dead!

So made the commitment to better my life by getting a degree that would help me get a better job. I managed to squeeze in as the last student for the mid-start program and, five days after leaving my job, I was a college student again! It was scary and exciting and - so far I'm top of my class.

Then on January 3rd, I read an article that inspired me to make some physical changes as well. I became determined to not only lose weight but also learn how to eat healthy (after thirty-odd years of bad eating habits) to keep the weight off permanently. I love a good challenge so I've set my goal weight and I've given myself 360 days to achieve it.

Project New Me 360 (PNM360) was inspired by others, so my goal is to not only make changes in my own life, but to inspire and motivate others as well. I'm learning that you're never too old, too fat, too stupid, too ugly, too...anything to achieve your dreams!

How To Contact Me
If you ever want to get in touch with me, feel free to email me at projectnewme360@gmail.com. This account was created especially for this blog. If you have a comment or question you want to keep private, this is the place to reach me. I'm not a professional nutritionist nor am I a personal trainer (far from it), but I have no problem sharing links to the information that I've unearthed from across the Interwebs that I have found personally helpful.
